When is Chinese New Year 2024?
Chinese New Year (or Lunar New Year) officially kicks off on 10. februar, 2024. The celebration lasts 16 days!
For Chinese New Year, that's one of biggest and most important holiday; family members will travel from different cities and have a homemade meal at New Year's Eve," said Lucy Lei, Product Manager at SteelSeries. "The home will be decorated with spring festival couplets, paper cutting, and people wear something red; the elder, like parents and grandparents, will give a red envelope to younger kids for best wishes."
How long is Chinese New Year?
While the event takes place over 16 days, only the first week is considered a public holiday. The celebrations culminate with the Lantern Festival on 24. februar, 2024.
"I think the important thing for Chinese New Year is the family gathering together to celebrate the brand new beginning of new year," said Lei.
What is the 2024 Chinese Zodiac?
According to the zodiac, 2024 is the Year of the Dragon. People born in 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012, and this year are born under the sign of the Dragon. Those people tend to be visionary leaders and embody authority and control; they're usually energetic, goal-oriented, and idealistic.
